Overall, one of the most solid vintage 12 strings we've played and for a real blues player.The neck is poplar and the top is birch, inside it has ladder bracing from what we've read. The truss rod is a little tough to get too due to it being tightened down and may need to be worked with a small wrench of some sort if ever need be to adjust it. Usually it is recommended by Harmony and other companies to keep a 12 string tuned down slightly due to tension on the neck yet this one has phenomenal action even at standard pitch. Nice brass frets and the tuners function fine. It was a two-pickup guitar, very similar to the Hagstrom II (F-200) and Hagstrom III (F-300), and in some ways the Hagstrom eight string bass (F-800). Man he got it from said it was a 50s or 60s hummingbird but i do now know for i am no expert in vintage guitars. It was obtained in a trade by my grandfather and he passed it down to me. But i do not know anything about it as far as model goes. It's all original and has beautiful patina and checking to it. These were made from both Stella & Harmony under the same model number so we're not positive which of the 2 it is. It's very well built and setup so the action is stellar! It is missing the truss rod cover and bottom strap button. This guitar has a great bluesy vibe and pushes tons of volume. This is phenomenal acoustic and it sounds fantastic.
